A again, anew, afresh, once more, Il.1.540, etc.: freq. after numerals, δεύτερον αὖ, τρίτον αὖ, etc., Hom.;

τὸν δὲ πέμπτον αὖ λέγω A.Th.526

, cf. Ch. 1066 (lyr.); in a question, expressing impatience, τίς δὴ αὖ τοι . . ; Il.1.540.
